Human and computers may develop in two different paths

Do you still remember when you were young, you learnt how to figure out the sum of a series of number by hands and how to do faster calculations by heart. However, do you need such skills any more when having a computer with you? Probably not, though the knowledge and logic thinking learnt is certainly important. Modern technologies have been developing at an incredibly fast rate. By using modern computers, our human beings can process some complicated calculations and complete complicated work.

Because of the incredible speed of computing, people tend to focus more on the accuracy of their work rather than productivity or sufficiency. The majority of our ordinary work every day does not require the full capacity of our computers; therefore, we can process our work on computers without making our process sufficient. Moreover, when we are doing work by ourselves, we are trying to make our work process as easy and sufficient as possible. Using computers is a way to make our work process easier and sufficient. Therefore, when we are developing our computing technologies, we do not consider how to make ourselves faster or more sufficiently, we consider what tools we can use for making our work process faster.

However, I raise a question that when we get used to using computers, it is possible for us to forget making our work process more sufficient other than making our computers faster. This may cause a social problem, as computer may become a constraint to our abilities when we are trying to do some extremely complicated work in the future, this may slow down our development rate. In addition, there may exist another way which is more powerful and sufficient than using computers, but we would never think about that.
